Les troubles de la vision

La fréquence de la déficience visuelle chez l’adulte et l’enfant porteurs de trisomie 21 s’explique par la forte prévalence et les particularités évolutives des troubles de la réfraction (hypermétropie, myopie, astigmatisme…), la présence d’un trouble de l’accommodation (présent dans 2 à 3 cas sur 4 dans la population porteuse de trisomie 21) et l’existence d’une baisse significative de l’acuité visuelle dès l’enfance.
