Trastornos de la visión

La frecuencia de las deficiencias visuales en adultos y niños con trisomía 21 se explica por la elevada prevalencia y las particularidades de los trastornos refractivos (hipermetropía, miopía, astigmatismo, etc.), la presencia de un trastorno de la acomodación (presente en 2 a 3 casos de cada 4 en la población con trisomia 21) y la existencia de una disminución significativa de la agudeza visual desde la infancia.
