Otras enfermedades del ojo


Entre las patologías oftalmológicas, más frecuentes en las personas con síndrome de Down, varias afectan a los anexos del ojo. Se trata de las malposiciones palpebrales congénitas (que son las anomalías oculares más frecuentes en la trisomia 21 y pueden provocar lesiones crónicas de la córnea o la conjuntiva, o incluso ambliopía), las patologías inflamatorias de los párpados (también frecuentes) y las obstrucciones congénitas de las vías nasolagrimales (más frecuentes en los niños).
