OPHTHALMOLOGICAL PATHOLOGIES
Although not specific to Trisomy 21, certain pathologies of the posterior segment of the eye are more frequently associated with people with Trisomy 21 than with the neurotypical population. They fall into two categories: retinal anomalies and pathologies, and optic nerve pathologies.
