Let’s Talk About Sport !
It’s essential to do physical exercise since it’s good for you! Both for your mood and your body. Without even mentioning the many physiological benefits (lower risk of obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular problems, lower anxiety), sport helps you feel better mentally and physically.
In this video tutorial, Agnès Lefoulon, an osteopath specializing in support for adaptive sport, talks to sports players (and people who are less sporty), regardless of their age and shares her tips: walk up the stairs rather than taking the elevator, walk whenever possible, etc.
From shoulder movements to little steps and pelvic rotations, she also presents a series of easy movements to do every day.
“If you’re struggling to get started, do the activities you enjoy,” Agnès Lefoulon’s advises. “Do you like walking? Go hiking! Do you like water? Go to a swimming pool! Do you like combat sport? Join a club! Plan activities you enjoy and you won’t feel as though you’re doing sport. It’s important to do sport, but everyone needs to find the solution that works for them.”
“There’s no specific age for taking up sport. Starting in early childhood enables you to form habits and burn up your surplus energy. Starting later in life will help you get into better shape. It’s up to you!”
